What is Stratego

Stratego is a classic strategy board game that challenges players to outthink and outmaneuver their opponents. Designed for two players, the game involves deception, memory, and tactical planning, making it an exciting battle of wits.

Stratego's Gameplay Overview

Each player in Stratego controls 40 pieces, representing different military ranks, including officers and soldiers. These pieces are placed on a 10x10 grid, with their values hidden from the opponent. The goal is to locate and capture the opponent’s flag or eliminate enough enemy pieces to prevent further movement.

Strategy and Tactics

A key element of Stratego is bluffing and strategic placement. Players must create defensive formations, set traps, and carefully advance across the board while keeping their flag protected. The movement of pieces is limited, except for Scouts, which have greater mobility. Attacks are resolved by comparing ranks, with higher-ranked pieces defeating lower-ranked ones.
